Region XI, Davao Region— November 2025.
A new chapter begins for Davao’s construction industry. The Davao Builders Digital Network (DBDN)—a pioneering alliance of construction companies led by AIMHI (Artificial Intelligence Meets Human Intelligence)—has officially been awarded as one of the SkillsUpNet Philippines (SUNPh) Phase 2 grantees under the construction sector.
This recognition, granted by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through the Philippine Trade Training Center – Global MSME Academy (PTTC-GMEA) in partnership with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and TESDA, shines a national spotlight on what’s happening in the South: builders in Mindanao are not just catching up—they’re stepping forward.
Why This Matters
For years, the construction industry has relied on traditional, manual processes—slow, paper-heavy, and often disconnected.
The Davao Builders Digital Network was born from a shared belief that things can change. That local builders, given the right digital tools and skills, can compete globally while building smarter, safer, and more sustainable projects at home.
Led by AIMHI, DBDN brings together 15 construction enterprises across Region XI to reimagine how work gets done—from the ground up. The network isn’t just about software or training; it’s about confidence, collaboration, and inclusivity—making sure digital transformation works for everyone, from engineers to site foremen.
Our Member Enterprises
The Davao Builders Digital Network is composed of fifteen enterprises representing the heart of Region XI’s construction ecosystem:

Together, these companies form the backbone of Davao’s construction sector — a collective force now paving the way for digital transformation in Mindanao.
About SkillsUpNet Philippines (SUNPh)
SkillsUpNet Philippines (SUNPh) is a national program that supports enterprise networks, called Skills Innovation Networks, in developing the skills of their workforce.
Funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Japan and implemented by DTI-PTTC-GMEA, the program helps industries become more competitive by embracing innovation, digital tools, and inclusive growth.

Now in its second phase, SUNPh continues to empower key sectors like construction, manufacturing, and services to adapt to the evolving demands of the digital economy — building future-ready and resilient enterprises nationwide.
From Manual to Digital: A Scholarship for Builders
Through the SUNPh Phase 2 grant, the Davao Builders Digital Network will soon launch the Davao Builders Digital Scholarship Program, a 12-month learning journey called “From Manual to Digital: AI and Tech Upskilling for Construction Professionals.”
The program offers free, high-quality digital training for 50 employees across the network’s 15 companies. Scholars will learn how to use modern tools like AIMHI, SAP, BIM and the likes—and apply them through capstone projects that directly improve real-world construction workflows.
Each participating company will create a Digital Application Project, showing how they’ve transformed part of their operations—from cost tracking and scheduling to digital reporting and AI-powered forecasting.
In short: it’s not training for training’s sake. It’s capacity-building that drives tangible change.
The Awarding in Manila

On October 27, 2025, the Davao Builders Digital Network was officially recognized during the SkillsUpNet Philippines Phase 2 Grant Awarding Ceremony at the Asian Development Bank Headquarters in Mandaluyong City.
AIMHI attended the ceremony as the Lead Enterprise Representative. Alongside other grantees from across the Philippines, she signed the grant agreement—marking the start of a year-long implementation that will empower construction professionals in the Davao Region.
“It’s a proud moment not just for AIMHI, but for every builder in Mindanao,” said Angoy.
“For too long, digital innovation seemed out of reach for smaller construction firms. This program changes that. It proves that Davao’s builders are ready—not just to adopt technology, but to lead with it.”
What Comes Next
The Davao Builders Digital Network is now gearing up for its kick-off and scholar onboarding sessions. Over the next twelve months, the program will combine mindset training, hands-on upskilling, and collaborative innovation to help local firms future-proof their operations.
The initiative is expected to ripple beyond Davao, inspiring other regions to form their own digital transformation clusters.
“We believe construction excellence starts with clarity,” Angoy added.
“By giving builders digital tools and data-driven visibility, we’re building not just better projects—but better futures for our people.”
